For Haldi and Mehndi, it is all about mixing that 'thoda royal' vibe with raw, fun elements. I typically balance 70% high-quality artificial florals with 30% fresh marigolds—this ensures the decor stays vibrant throughout your outdoor function in Mumbai's humidity without wilting or looking tired by the afternoon. Your Haldi or Mehndi is the start of the wedding madness, and the decor should match that energy. My approach is to move away from generic backdrops and instead build a 'reel-worthy dream zone' that fits your specific venue, whether it is a lawn or a banquet hall. ### Why the mix of fresh and faux matters In Mumbai, outdoor events can be brutal on flowers. I use a combination of artificial floral hangings to provide volume and structure, which allows us to create elaborate arches and heavy floral walls that won't wilt. We then layer in fresh marigolds and jasmine for the authentic scent and traditional feel that makes these ceremonies special. ### Personalization is key I don't just put up drapes. I look for ways to integrate your story. - **Props:** I use items like painted vintage trunks, brass Urlis, and Rajasthani umbrellas to create corners that are perfect for guest photos. - **Signage:** We design custom hashtag signs or personalized welcome boards, ensuring your guests know exactly whose celebration they are attending. - **Layouts:** If you have a group dance planned for the Mehndi, I prioritize stage size, ensuring we use trussing and intelligent lighting so the energy carries well into the evening. ### The process Before we step foot on the venue, we chat. I pull together moodboards so you can see your look, not just imagine it. We then move to 3D previews to ensure the scale is right for your guest list. By the time we start the setup, you already know exactly what to expect. ## About Jain Decorators I’m the face behind Jain Decorators, and I believe your pre-wedding functions should feel as loud and joyful as you are.
