We use warm-up games like 'Bulldog' to channel that excess energy, then switch to focused drills like shrimping or back control, so kids develop real body awareness without feeling like they're stuck in a boring classroom. My approach to teaching martial arts to children is about building a foundation that lasts. Whether they are at Sai MMA on Hosa Road or The Dojo in HSR Layout, I make sure every child learns the value of the 'grind' early on. We focus on non-violent defense, teaching kids how to control opponents using leverage and holds instead of striking. This is crucial for building confidence without aggression. Every session includes a mix of motor skill development—like headstands, tumbling, and balance work—and structured dojo etiquette. I keep batch sizes small so I can provide direct supervision. You will see them learning to protect themselves while playing games that keep them engaged and active. It is not just about learning a move like a sweep; it is about learning how to listen, follow instructions, and respect training partners.
