I always reach for a dense foundation brush rather than a sponge or my fingers. The bristles get product into those tiny pores, creating a smooth, even surface that a beauty blender just cannot achieve. It makes a massive difference in how the final look sits on your face. I treat every face differently because skin isn't a canvas—it's a living thing. When I start a session, my first job is to figure out your skin type. If you're dealing with acne-prone skin, I focus heavily on color correction before applying foundation, so we don't have to pack on heavy, clogging layers. For mature skin, the goal is always hydration and light reflection. I avoid heavy powders that settle into fine lines. Instead, I layer serums and hydrating primers to give you that natural, youthful glow. If your skin is dry, I skip the matte products that can flake and focus on cream-based formulas that keep you looking fresh for hours. Everything I do—from the products I pick to the brushes I use—is to make sure you still look like you, just polished.
