## About Therapeutic Yoga Sessions

### What I Offer

Yoga for me is not just exercise, it's an *adjustive science* shaped by my gurus and our *parampara* (lineage). I use the Iyengar method - it's all about precision and detailed alignment, not just doing postures for the sake of it. My sessions are practical and I keep it real, using props like blocks, belts, and chairs to support your body where it needs help, make poses doable for all, and hold them long enough to feel the difference.

### How My Sessions Work

- I tailor everything to you. No one-size-fits-all.
- Props are our friends, not cheats - they help you get the pose right, avoid strain, and actually feel the benefits.
- We focus on Iyengar yoga therapy, looking at what your body and mind need, not just ticking off poses.

### Who Benefits

- Stiff backs, neck pain, sciatica, old injuries - I use targeted sequences for chronic pain relief and injury recovery.
- If stress or anxiety is eating you up, we do restorative yoga for anxiety, breathing, and poses like *Viparita Karani* (legs up the wall). It’s not magic, but it calms the nervous system.
- Women dealing with hormonal issues or menstrual discomfort, I have specific routines for hormonal balance and support.
- Athletes get help with flexibility, muscle recovery, and injury prevention.

### Experience

I run sessions in my New Delhi studio and online. You get clear instructions and my direct feedback, whether you're a total beginner or coming in with years of stiffness. The practice always meets you where you are.

If you want something that adapts to your body and your life, this method works. No shortcuts, but no pressure either. We go at your pace.

## Meet your expert

[Amina Sarkar Bharat Ram](https://mytribe.in/iyengar_yogamandala)

### My story

Guruji B.K.S. Iyengar’s words kinda stuck with me: yoga ferried me from confusion to clarity. I’m Amina, certified Iyengar Yoga teacher, but honestly, always a student first. What I share isn’t just mine - it’s passed down, guru to student, old-school style. Every pose, every breath, it’s about connecting body, mind, soul. Discipline, yes, but also kindness to yourself. My job? Just holding space, passing on what my teachers gave me. We’re all just finding that little spark inside.

### My work

- **Certified Iyengar Yoga Classes (Online & Delhi Studio)**: I teach all levels, from beginners to advanced, with special focus on certified Iyengar Yoga classes and therapeutic yoga for back pain.
- **Precision and Alignment**: We get into the ‘how’ and ‘why’ of every asana, not just the shape. It’s about learning with your whole body.
- **Props Make Yoga for Everyone**: Chairs, belts, blocks, bolsters - Iyengar yoga with props means anyone can join, no matter your age or flexibility.
- **Beyond Physical - Meditation in Action**: Yoga’s not just stretching, it’s quieting the mind, finding balance. That’s what we work on together.
