We design and build custom frameworks—like the mint green gazebo for our Dehradun Anand Karaj or the Mughal-inspired arches at our RWITC Mumbai projects—specifically to frame the natural beauty of your venue rather than hiding it behind generic draping. For us, architecture is the skeleton of a great celebration. A mandap or a lounge should not just be a collection of flowers; it should define the space it occupies. We work with materials like industrial mesh, mirrors, and hand-painted ply to create forms that interact with light and surroundings. ### Our Architectural Approach - **Custom Fabrication:** We avoid standard rental catalogs. If your venue has a specific silhouette, we design structures that complement it. Whether it is a 12ft architectural mandap with cutwork arches or a bespoke island bar, everything is fabricated to order. - **Blending Eras:** We often take heavy, traditional elements—like Mughal arches or Rajputi motifs—and strip them back to their clean lines, pairing them with modern textures or palettes. This is how we achieved the 'Oasis of Love' look: preserving the grandeur of traditional window arches while using sleek white pillars and reflective water bodies to keep the environment breathable and modern. - **Venue Integration:** We consider the venue's existing features as our starting point. In Dehradun, we used the open mountain vista to dictate the light, airy design of the gazebo mandap. In urban settings, we use structures to create intimate zones, transforming a sprawling lawn into a series of structured, engaging rooms. Ultimately, we treat your event as a canvas where form, light, and structure come together. If you are looking for a design that prioritizes craftsmanship over stock decor, we should talk. ## About Its an Affair We are Anusha and Rishita, the duo behind Its an Affair. We treat every event as a fresh canvas, focusing on bespoke fabrication rather than catalogs. Our goal is to craft spaces that feel deeply personal, blending the grandeur of traditional Indian architecture with the clarity of modern design.
