If a particular design or show concept catches your eye—whether it is the intricate marionette work from Italy or our own textile-based rod puppetry adaptations—it is a great starting point for planning your own event. For over twenty years, the Ishara International Puppet Theatre Festival has transformed the Delhi stage into a melting pot of global artistry. This gallery acts as a visual timeline of the diverse techniques we have hosted, from Russian street theatre vignettes and Mexican shadow play to our own reinterpretations of the Panchatantra. ### Finding Your Style When browsing these past festival posters, pay attention to the puppet styles featured. Each production uses different methods to engage audiences: * **String Puppetry (Marionettes):** Highly expressive and poetic, ideal for theatre settings where you want a visually sophisticated experience. * **Rod & Hand Puppetry:** These are our most versatile acts. They are perfect for birthdays, school functions, and intimate settings where interaction is key. * **Giant/Object Theatre:** Best suited for outdoor carnivals or large atrium spaces where visual impact is the priority. ### Why the Visuals Matter We believe that puppetry is a universal language. The design of each poster reflects the heart of the performance it represents. By reviewing these past announcements, you can identify the tone—be it playful, thought-provoking, or educational—that best aligns with your upcoming event. If you see a show style that resonates with your requirements, mention it when you reach out. It helps us understand the specific energy and technical requirements you are looking for, allowing us to guide you toward the right performance package for your venue. ## About Ishara Puppet Theatre We are the Ishara Puppet Theatre Trust, and we have spent two decades using puppets as a universal language to connect people. Our stage is a place where stories from every corner of the world come alive, proving that you do not need a shared language to feel the magic of a good story.
