Whether it is a giant inflatable elephant from a Brazilian circus or delicate marionettes from Russia, you will find performances that skip traditional stage boundaries and invite you directly into the narrative. Our festival is more than just a performance. It is a space where global traditions meet, allowing families and enthusiasts to witness diverse puppetry styles, from shadow play and rod puppets to complex marionette movements. We select acts that resonate across ages and linguistic barriers, ensuring that the themes of friendship, courage, and self-acceptance land with impact. While we travel the world to find talent, we remain deeply rooted in Indian traditions. Our productions often reimagine classics like the Panchatantra, using regional textiles and local craftsmanship to give these ancient tales a modern voice. We believe puppetry is a universal language, and our goal is to keep this art form accessible to everyone, whether through our annual stage productions or our hands-on workshops where participants learn the logic of movement and character design. We invite you to join us in celebrating these stories. ## About Ishara Puppet Theatre We are the Ishara Puppet Theatre Trust. For two decades, we have been using puppets as a universal language to share stories that bridge cultures and borders. Our passion lies in making sure everyone, from children to grandparents, finds a piece of themselves in the shows we bring to Delhi.
