Whether I am welding a structural pergola or installing a custom lattice screen, I take exact measurements of your site before cutting any material. This ensures the load-bearing capacity is correct, the frame is perfectly level, and the final result sits flush against your specific balcony or wall configuration. ### Why Custom Fabrication Matters Off-the-shelf solutions often fail because they are designed for an 'average' space. My approach to fabrication is different. I work with high-grade galvanized iron and structural UPVC to build pieces that are engineered for the specific wind loads and environmental conditions of your property. ### My Fabrication Process 1. **Site Assessment & Measurement:** I visit your space to check existing masonry, floor levels, and potential mounting points. This prevents issues like sagging frames or misaligned doors later on. 2. **Material Selection:** For pergolas and gates, I specify the gauge of steel and the type of reinforcement needed based on your location’s exposure to heat and rain. For privacy screens, I use UPVC that is UV-resistant to prevent brittleness and yellowing over time. 3. **Precision Welding & Finishing:** All fabrication happens in my workshop or on-site with a focus on clean, weather-tight joints. I finish metalwork with rust-preventative coatings and UPVC installations with high-quality silicone sealing to ensure they are waterproof and airtight. ### Common Custom Projects * **Privacy Lattice:** I install custom-cut UPVC lattice screens that provide privacy for balconies while maintaining cross-ventilation. * **Structural Pergolas:** From Mangalore tile roofs to glass-top structures, I build the steel framework to support the weight safely without compromising the look of your terrace. * **Specialty Enclosures:** If you have an awkward utility area or a specific design requirement that standard windows cannot accommodate, I fabricate the necessary frames to close off or secure the space. ## About Iron-Crafts I’m Ahmed, and at Iron-Crafts, I lead a team that treats every fabrication project as a structural engineering challenge. We do not work with pre-made catalogs; we design, weld, and install based on the specific dimensions of your home. You get honest advice on what materials will actually last in our local climate, not just what looks good in a brochure.
