Polycarbonate is excellent for light transmission, but if the joints aren't properly secured with EPDM gaskets and high-grade silicone, leaks are inevitable during the monsoon. We use 1.5mm to 2mm thick mild steel frameworks, ensuring the structure doesn't flex under high wind pressure, which keeps your roof tight and drip-free for years. ### Why Polycarbonate for Your Outdoor Space Polycarbonate is a practical choice for balconies and utility areas where you need shelter without blocking out the sky. Unlike heavy clay tiles or opaque roofing, these sheets allow natural light to filter through while blocking harmful UV rays. ### Our Fabrication Process Every project begins with a site visit to assess dimensions and load requirements. We provide a 3D layout before we cut a single piece of steel, allowing you to visualize the structure. Our fabrication follows a strict quality protocol: - **Framework:** We use high-grade mild steel hollow pipes, which are welded and ground smooth for a clean, architectural finish. - **Protection:** All steel is treated with anti-rust red oxide primer and finished with two coats of weather-resistant enamel paint to handle the Karnataka climate. - **Sealing:** We use aluminum profile trims and rubber gaskets to ensure the interlocking sheets stay secure and watertight. ### Choosing the Right Material Whether you need clear sheets for maximum brightness or tinted sheets for heat reduction, we guide you on the best thickness (2mm to 4mm) based on your roof's span and local weather conditions. We also specialize in using these sheets for vertical safety enclosures, providing a clean and durable alternative to traditional grills. ## About Iron-Crafts I’m Ahmed, and at Iron-Crafts, we treat every outdoor structure as a permanent installation. My team and I focus on the engineering behind the roof, ensuring your frame is solid and the seals are weather-tight.
