It requires precise spatial planning where every square foot serves a purpose. We design modern, minimalist apartments that prioritize flow, natural light, and quiet functionality. ## Photos and videos - ![The 'Chirantana' residence is a compact 4-bedroom house where the interior design needed to be modern and efficient. In projects like the Chirantana residence, we avoided cluttering the living area with unnecessary partitions. Instead, we opted for open layouts that allow natural light to penetrate deeper into the home, making modest square footage feel both generous and calm. Modern urban living isn't about filling a home with expensive decor. It is about establishing a design script that complements the architecture. When we approach an urban apartment, our goal is to enhance the existing structure through three pillars: light, flow, and material honesty. ### Designing for Compact Spaces In metropolitan areas, space is a luxury. Our approach to modern interior design involves stripping away the non-essential. We use custom joinery to turn storage into a seamless part of the wall, rather than an obstruction. By using consistent material palettes, like warm wood tones or textured concrete, we reduce visual noise and create a unified sense of peace. ### The Role of Natural Light Many urban homes suffer from poor ventilation and dark corners. Our design process begins with a site analysis to understand the sun path. We reposition furniture and adjust layout hierarchies to ensure that social spaces, such as the living and dining areas, are positioned to receive maximum daylight. This connection to the outdoors is crucial for mental well-being in the city. ### Materiality and Texture Minimalism does not have to be cold. We introduce warmth through tactile materials like exposed brick, natural stone, or wood. By balancing these textures, we create spaces that invite touch and interaction. Whether it is a feature wall in the living room or a carefully planned reading nook, every element is installed with a clear functional intent. If you are looking to renovate an apartment or build a new home in Bangalore, we can help you optimize your layout for better living. ## About Int-Hab I am Sachin Shetty, the founder of Int-Hab.
