In our workshops, our teachers don’t just lecture from a podium; they sit with you, guide your hands, and use simple demonstrations to help you master techniques like structural mechanics or color theory, regardless of your background. At IFD, we believe that your teacher matters just as much as the course material. Our faculty members aren't just academics; they are practicing artists who bring years of global experience into our classrooms. ### Meet the Faculty Our team is led by Director Seema Jhaveri, who pioneered floral education in India. She is joined by core members like Daisy Sidhwa, who received intensive training in Mexico, and Harinakshi Misiry, a multidisciplinary artist and WorldSkills India trainer. Whether you are learning Ikebana, commercial bouquet design, or festival decor, you are learning from someone who has been vetted by top floral masters. ### Why Our Approach Works We know that everyone learns differently. That is why our instructors adapt their style to the student, not the other way around. We have successfully trained participants across India, from Mumbai to Nellore, often breaking down communication barriers through gestures, live demonstrations, and shared practical work. Our instructors follow a 'show-don't-just-tell' philosophy. They work alongside you, helping you troubleshoot real-world challenges—like managing stem hydration or controlling wastage—that you would face in a professional floral business. This practical, hands-on guidance ensures that when you complete a course, you aren't just leaving with a certificate; you're leaving with the confidence to build a career or pursue your passion with skill. ## About Institute of Floral Design We are IFD, and we’ve been helping students find their floral voice for 14 years. Our instructors are not just teachers; they are mentors who personally guide your creative journey from basic handling to advanced artistry.
