Through our 'Lions vs Tigers' intra-academy series and regular private tournament participation, players face actual bowling speeds and pressure-cooker field placements. Whether it's a 5-wicket haul or a match-winning century, these moments build the mental toughness required for official selection trials. ### Why Match Practice Matters Most academies stop at net practice. At Inningstar, we believe *bas yahi hai apna funda* (this is our principle): you cannot learn to swim without getting in the water. Nets are for technique, but matches are for character. ### Our Competitive Structure - **Intra-Academy Series:** We organize regular 'Lions vs Tigers' match days. This isn't just a friendly game; it is where we track performance stats, strike rates, and economy for every player. - **Tournament Exposure:** We field teams in private leagues and association-recognised tournaments across Navi Mumbai. This gives our juniors and U16s the experience of playing on different grounds with varying pitches—matting, turf, and natural. - **Match Simulation:** We use these matches to identify gaps. If a batsman struggles against spin or a bowler loses focus during the second spell, we spot it during the game and fix it in the next training session. ### Preparing for Selection Trials We know that trials for MCA or other associations are high-pressure environments. Our match program is specifically designed to simulate this intensity. We teach our students how to handle nerves, how to bowl with a new ball, and how to rotate the strike when the team needs it. We want our students to walk into a selection trial feeling like they have done this a hundred times before. *Hum saath chale to jeetenge* (If we walk together, we will win) isn't just a slogan for us—it is the reality of how we build teams in Kharghar. ## About Inningstar Cricket Academy I am the coach here, and if you think I am a bit crazy, it is only because I believe 'normal' is boring when it comes to training. My team is my family, and we don't just practice; we play to win because that is where the real growth happens.
