For me, shayari and ghazals are two sides of the same coin, both expressing the deepest feelings of the heart.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/00ba77a2-865f-4c33-84ee-15a5003bfada) ## About The Art of Shayari Shayari is the bridge between the song and the soul in my performances. I never script these moments, as I prefer to wait for the energy of the room to shift before stepping away from the microphone to recite a verse. It turns a standard performance into a shared, intimate conversation between me and your guests. For me, a performance is not just about hitting the right notes. It is about creating a 'Mehfil', a gathering where the emotions run deep. When I weave shayari into my set, it is because some feelings cannot be expressed through music alone. Whether I am performing at a wedding reception in Dubai or a Sangeet night in Delhi, these poetic interludes allow the audience to pause and connect with the lyrics on a personal level. ### Why Shayari Works People often ask if the audience stays engaged during these slower, poetic moments. The answer is yes, because it breaks the monotony. If I am performing a high-energy Sufi rock track, a well-timed couplet before the drop can build anticipation. If I am playing an acoustic Ghazal, a line of poetry can bring a sense of comfort and nostalgia that makes the song feel like it was written just for that specific moment. ### Tailored to Your Event Every event has a different flow. I adjust the volume and frequency of my shayari based on what you need: * **For Intimate Gatherings:** I keep it conversational and light, focusing on verses that celebrate love and friendship. * **For Sangeet and Receptions:** I use poetry to transition between the soulful opening sets and the high-energy dance floor hits. * **For Corporate Events:** I select pieces that are universal and elegant, ensuring a refined atmosphere. My band—whether it is a duo or a full ensemble—is trained to support these moments, letting the music breathe so the words can land exactly where they need to. It is my way of keeping the tradition alive, one mehfil at a time. ## About Harsh Singer I am Harsh. My music is a journey shared with the blessings of my Maa and the teachings of my Ustad, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. I treat every stage like a mehfil, where the poetry I share is as important as the notes I sing. I want you to feel the story behind every song.
