We perform seated with a 5-6 piece acoustic ensemble featuring harmonium, flute, and percussion, keeping the volume controlled enough for banquets or home events while maintaining the emotional depth of our Sufi and Ghazal repertoire. When you choose our baithak sessions, you are opting for a space of 'Sukoon', or peace. We move away from the high-energy, amplified environment of a rock concert and focus instead on the nuances of melody and poetry. ### The Baithak Experience These sessions are not just about playing songs. We intersperse our music with Shayari (poetry) and short stories, creating a narrative flow that keeps the audience engaged. The setup is entirely acoustic, featuring the warm tones of the harmonium, the fluid notes of the flute, and the subtle rhythm of the dholak. ### Why it works for intimate gatherings: * **Conversation Friendly:** Because the volume is managed, your guests can talk, laugh, and enjoy the music simultaneously. * **Emotional Connection:** The seated, relaxed format allows us to look into the eyes of the audience, making the performance feel like a personal conversation. * **Technical Simplicity:** We only require a basic PA system and monitor setup, making this a straightforward option for house parties, smaller banquet halls, or private dining events. Our repertoire for these sessions leans heavily into devotional Sufi numbers, Ghazals, and timeless classics that are meant to be felt. If you are looking to create a space of quiet reflection or a warm, soulful atmosphere for your next celebration, this is the Humsufi experience for you. ## About Humsufi We are a brotherhood of musicians who believe in creating music that connects at a deeper level. For us, every unplugged session is a chance to sit with you, share some poetry, and let the melodies bridge the distance between us.
