We don't just keep students locked in a room with a textbook. We pull them into our monthly Music Room Sessions almost immediately, giving them the space to get comfortable with nerves and learn how to play for a real audience, even if it is just their fellow students and teachers. Learning an instrument is a journey, and our goal is to make sure that journey is supported by a community that actually wants to hear you play. Whether you are a parent looking for a creative outlet for your child, or an adult picking up a guitar for the first time, our space in Whitefield is designed to bridge the gap between private practice and public performance. ### Why Our Students Love Us - **No Stage Fright:** Our monthly Music Room Sessions are low-pressure jam sessions. It is the perfect bridge between practicing alone and performing at 'The Cacophony,' our annual student festival. - **Learning That Sticks:** We offer a mix of international syllabus prep (Trinity/RSL) for those who want certification, while keeping the atmosphere fun and relaxed for those just playing for the love of it. - **Inclusive Community:** We have students ranging from kids to adults, across instruments like drums, keyboard, guitar, violin, and vocals. You aren't just joining a class; you are joining a band. If you have ever felt like music classes are too rigid, we are here to change that. Hum & Strum ke alawa kahin aur music seekhe toh? Nahi! We invite you to drop in for a free trial class to see how our batches work and meet our instructors. No pressure, just music. ## About Hum & Strum We are Hum & Strum, a bunch of musicians in Whitefield who started this school because we wanted a place to jam and grow. Whether you are five or fifty, you are part of our family the moment you pick up an instrument. Come as you are, and let’s make some music together.
