My academy uses high-quality natural turf wickets so you get the true bounce and seam movement you will face in real MCA matches. When you train here, you are not just hitting balls. You are developing the specific technique needed to survive the Kanga League. ### The Turf Advantage Most academies in the city force you to train on concrete, which changes how you play. The ball comes on differently, and you never learn to handle the movement of a real pitch. At Homeground, we keep our turf wickets well-maintained. This forces your footwork, bat speed, and bowling rhythm to adjust to conditions you will actually see on match day. ### Skills That Win Matches We do not run drills just to fill time. Our coaching focuses on: - **Technical Batting:** Working on your guard, head position, and shot selection against pace and spin. - **Bowling Accuracy:** Developing your run-up, rhythm, and release point on natural surfaces. - **Fielding Reflexes:** Using modern ramps and drills to improve catching and throwing under pressure. ### Tournament Readiness Talent is good, but you need exposure to break through. We prepare our students for competitive MCA tournaments like the Kanga League and Giles Shield. This means we treat every practice session like a pre-season camp. If you are here, you are expected to put in the work. We provide video analysis to show you exactly what is working and what needs to change, so you leave every session knowing how to get better. This is not for people looking to pass time. It is for those who want to play for Mumbai or India. ## About Homeground Cricket Academy I am Paul Valthaty, and I built this place because I know the struggle of traveling across Mumbai just for a few minutes of batting. We do not believe in quick fixes here. We believe in the grind, the turf, and the technique that actually wins matches on the field.
