I built Homeground to change that for our neighborhood. ## Photos and videos - [Video: I started this academy because I know the struggle. As a kid from Borivali-Kandivali, travelling for hours just for 15 minutes of batting was tough. That's why I focused on making the best pitches right here. Even KKR has practiced on them, which shows their quality. My goal is simple: to find talent here and help them play for the country.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/4254963c-bce3-464f-8dd0-73cc064112ac) ## About My Story When we built this, we didn't just pour concrete and hope for the best. We learned the art of pitch-making from scratch because we were tired of travelling to Churchgate for 15 minutes of batting. We wanted to give local kids in Borivali-Kandivali the kind of turf quality that even professional IPL teams now come here to use. ### The Struggle We Know We have all been there. Packing the kit bag at dawn, fighting the local train crowd to reach Churchgate or Dadar, only to get 15 minutes of batting before being told your time is up. That grind is real, but it shouldn't be the only way to get quality practice. ### Why We Built This I started Homeground Cricket Academy in Kandivali because I wanted local kids to have the facilities I never did. We are not a corporate coaching center. We are a group of people who care about cricket. If you join us, you aren't just paying for nets. You are getting access to red soil wickets that we maintain with our own hands. We have even hosted KKR and other IPL pros who come here specifically for the pitch quality. ### Our Philosophy Our coaching mantra is simple: tension mat lo, ball ko aane do. We train U-12 to Open age groups, but our focus stays the same regardless of age. We want to see you play for Mumbai, the Ranji Trophy, or even for India. We provide the mentorship, the mental strength workshops, and the real match exposure in MCA tournaments like the Kanga League. You bring the discipline and the willingness to grind. ### What You Get - Professional grade turf wickets (red soil). - Access to indoor facilities for monsoon training. - Mental performance and fitness modules. - Real match simulations and video analysis for technique correction. If you are serious about cricket, come by and see the difference for yourself. ## About Homeground Cricket Academy I am a cricketer first, and a mentor second. I built this place for the kids who are tired of travelling and want to focus on their game right here in Kandivali. Come by if you are ready to put in the hard work.
