Our students value the professional-grade red soil turf wickets because they prepare them for real match conditions, providing the same bounce and pace that Ranji and IPL players experience when they drop by for practice. ### Why Our Students Progress Parents and students often ask me why our players make the leap from local nets to MCA tournaments like the Kanga League so quickly. It comes down to one thing: removing the gap between training and real matches. We don't just teach cricket, we simulate match pressure. ### The 'Real Match' Difference When a student says their game has improved, they are usually talking about the exposure we provide. Whether it's through video analysis sessions, mental performance workshops, or simply bowling on turf wickets that mimic actual stadium conditions, we push them to play at a higher level. Our academy isn't about standing in line for a turn to bat; it is about learning how to handle the ball, manage anxiety, and develop the fitness of a professional athlete. ### Training Beyond the Nets * **Professional Pitches:** We maintain red soil turf wickets that are used by first-class cricketers. This gives our students immediate feedback on their shot execution and bowling line. * **Holistic Growth:** We focus on the mental game, including anxiety control and focus, which are crucial during competitive trials. * **Genuine Guidance:** As someone who struggled with the long commute to Churchgate just for a few minutes of batting, I ensure every student at my academy gets the maximum volume of practice time. If you are serious about cricket in Mumbai, come down to Thakur Village. The grind is real, but the results speak for themselves. ## About Homeground Cricket Academy I built this to spare local kids the trouble I faced travelling across Mumbai for decent practice. Watching my students master their game on these turf wickets, and hearing them talk about playing in the Kanga League, is the reason I am here every single day.
