Our senior players do not just learn how to win; they gain certification as match officials and technical officers, giving them a career path in the sport even after they stop playing competitively. Many people view hockey as a game of speed and tactics, but the integrity of the sport lies with its officials. At Hockey Navi Mumbai, we believe in holistic development. We actively enroll our senior athletes in the Hockey India Match Officials Education and Development Plan. This means our members are not just reading the rulebook; they are standing on the turf at state-level tournaments and national championships, putting those rules into practice as certified umpires and technical officers. Why does this matter for your child or for you as a player? Understanding the referee's perspective sharpens your own game. When you learn how fouls are called, how penalty corners are managed, and the precise mechanics of signal-giving, you become a smarter player on the field. You anticipate calls, avoid unnecessary penalties, and improve your decision-making under pressure. We provide a clear pathway for our athletes. Many of our senior players have officiated at events like the Police Range Tournament in Palghar and various youth championships. This transition from player to official provides deeper insight into sport management and builds professional discipline. Whether you aim to represent the state team or want to build a career in sports administration, our dual-focus approach ensures you have the practical experience and official credentials to reach that level. ## About Hockey Navi Mumbai We are a group of hockey enthusiasts, coaches, and former national players who grew up playing this game. We do not believe in just training; we believe in building people who understand every aspect of hockey, whether they are holding a stick or signaling a foul on the sidelines.
