When an author visits, we clear the floor for messy nest-building, detective puzzle-solving, or musical storytelling. It is all about breaking the barrier between the writer and the reader so your child sees books as a conversation, not just pages in a book. Imagine your child asking their favorite author exactly how they came up with a plot twist or getting a book signed right after a creative workshop. That is the magic we aim for at our Koramangala space. We believe that when a child meets the creator, the story on the page instantly feels more real and achievable. Our author sessions are as varied as the books themselves. We have hosted celebrated names like Mandira Shah for intimate discussions, had music educators like Shyama Panikkar turn stories into 'Sur Taal aur Masti' musical adventures, and invited detective-story enthusiasts like Pika Nani to run brain-scrambling puzzles. ### What happens at a session? * **No Boring Lectures:** We replace typical author talks with hands-on activities. If the book is about nests, we build nests. If it is a mystery, we play detective. * **Intimate Interaction:** We keep group sizes manageable so every child gets a chance to ask questions or share their own ideas. * **Creative Takeaways:** Whether it is a book signing or a craft inspired by the plot, children always leave with a piece of the story. We are constantly looking for fresh voices and established storytellers to join our noisy book gang. Whether you live in Koramangala or are just passing through, these sessions are open to any curious mind. Keep an eye on our event calendar because when a creator visits, seats fill up faster than you can say 'Hoo Hippocampus!' Come by, bring your books, and let’s make reading an epic, interactive adventure together. ## About Hoo Hippocampus We are a noisy library where kids get messy, shout 'Holi Hai!', and dive into stories. We think reading should be a wild adventure, not a quiet chore, so we bring authors in to turn every book into a real-life playground.
