I want kids to pick up books because they're curious and excited, not just because someone told them to. If you hear laughter and book pages turning, you know you're in the right place. ### What Makes Us Different - We mix reading games for kids, activities, and creative book challenges so every session feels fresh. - Kids get to meet real-life authors and illustrators - not just through boring talks, but through Q&As, story readings, and sometimes even book signings. - For parents, I share quick tips on picking books and making reading corners at home. No judgement if your child likes the same book for the tenth time! ### Some Favourites - Reading BINGO for little ones (2-6 yrs): fun dares like “build a pillow fort and read inside” or “read with a grandparent.” - Spine Poetry & Book Cover Art (7-15 yrs): make poems with book titles, design wild new covers - your imagination’s the limit. - Saturday stories are never quiet: Mathemagical tales, Under the Sea crafts, even solving riddles with Vikram and Betal. - Festive spirit: Holi Hai! Pongalo Pongal! We’ll find any excuse to celebrate with stories and activities. ### Tiny Bookworms Welcome - Book Picnics for babies and toddlers (15-30 months): stories, snacks, songs, and giggles. - Even the wiggliest kids fit in with our Music & Movement sessions - lots of rhythm, not much sitting still. If your child thinks books are boring, give us a shot. Who knows - they might just surprise you. ## Highlights Browse through Hoo Hippocampus's best work. ### [Featured](https://mytribe.in/hippocampuslibrary/reading-development-programs/featured) - [Video: Welcome to our playground! We’re Hoo Hippocampus, not your regular shhh-library. Kids here don’t tiptoe – they shout HOLI HAI! and get messy with crafts, meet authors, make fairy wings, and join wild Harry Potter parties. Started with just a wild idea: books and fun, always together. Every festival, every story, we celebrate big. We want every kid to feel like family and find joy in reading. Come join our noisy book gang! ### My work - **Children's Library & Experience Centre**: We offer a lively space for kids to discover books, play, and grow together. - **Festive Events & Author Meetups**: From Onam and Christmas parties to author meet-and-greet for children, we make books come alive. - **Hands-on Craft & Sensory Play**: Kids get creative with slime, nature crafts, and sensory play for kids. No boring corners here. - **Adventurous Reading Programs**: Our reading board game, The Great Tale Chase, makes every book a new adventure for your child. ## More services from Hoo Hippocampus - [Kids' Events & Workshops](https://mytribe.in/hippocampuslibrary/kids-events-workshops) · ₹250-8,500 per child per event/session (estimate) - [Children's Library Membership](https://mytribe.in/hippocampuslibrary/children-s-library-membership) · ₹2,000-5,000 per child per year (estimate) ## Experts similar to Hoo Hippocampus on mytribe - [Children's Literary Events & Activities by Bond Over Bindings](https://mytribe.in/bondoverbindings/children-s-literary-events-activities) · ₹250-800 per child per event (estimate) · Bengaluru - [Curated Reading Programs for Children by ThinkBox](https://mytribe.in/thinkboxblore/curated-reading-programs-for-children) · ₹700-2,000 per child per month (estimate) · ThinkBox children's Library - [Kids' Literary Events & Workshops by Kahaani Box Kids Library](https://mytribe.in/kahaani.box/kids-literary-events-workshops) · ₹150-5,000 per child per event/workshop (estimate) · Kahaani Box Kids Library JP Nagar - [Immersive Storytelling Workshops by Cubbon Tales](https://mytribe.in/cubbon.tales/immersive-storytelling-workshops) · ₹350-750 per child per session (estimate) · Sri Chamarajendra Park - [Early Learning & Literacy Programs by Nishat](https://mytribe.in/uescbangalore/early-learning-literacy-programs) · ₹250-600 per session (group, online) (estimate) · Ultimate Education Support Center - [Themed Workshops & Events for Kids by Fun with the Munchkins](https://mytribe.in/funwiththemunchkins/themed-workshops-events-for-kids) · ₹900-2,500 per child per event (estimate) · Bengaluru - [After-School Enrichment Programs by Little Red Hen](https://mytribe.in/littleredhenpreschools/after-school-enrichment-programs) · ₹3,500-5,500 per 8-session batch (estimate) · Little Red Hen Preschool & Daycare - [Parent-Child Workshops by Moxie & Hopper](https://mytribe.in/moxieandhopper/parent-child-workshops) · ₹450-900 per child (with parent), per session (estimate) · Bengaluru - [Children's Library Membership by Ourstoryshelf](https://mytribe.in/ourstoryshelf/children-s-library-membership) · ₹2,000-5,000 per child per year (estimate) · Our Story Shelf - Online Kids Library - [Parent & Toddler Programs by Openhouse](https://mytribe.in/openhouse.hub/parent-toddler-programs) · ₹600-1,200 per session (parent + toddler) (estimate) · Openhouse Sarjapur: Preschool, Daycare, Extracurriculars - [Kids' Activities & Events by Cubby Tales](https://mytribe.in/cubbytales/kids-activities-events) · ₹350-700 per child per session (estimate) · Cubby Tales Preschool & Daycare | Best Preschool in Koramangala | Best Daycare in Koramangala - [Children's Enrichment Programs & Holiday Camps by Eka Montessori](https://mytribe.in/ekamontessori/children-s-enrichment-programs-holiday-camps) · ₹3,000-8,000 per 2-3 week camp (10-15 sessions) (estimate) · EKA Montessori House Of Children ## Book To book Hoo Hippocampus, message mytribe on WhatsApp: [Chat on WhatsApp](https://wa.me/916360004054?text=Hi%2C%20I'm%20looking%20for%20Reading%20Development%20Programs%20by%20Hoo%20Hippocampus.)
