## About Meet Your Favorite Authors & Illustrators

It’s not just a quick wave from the stage here. When we host authors like Mandira Shah or illustrators like Priya Kuriyan, the kids get real face time—they ask burning questions, get their books personalized, and watch live drawing demos that turn a rainy Saturday into a core memory. We keep our sessions small and cozy so every child feels like they are part of the magic, not just another face in a big crowd.

Books are wonderful, but meeting the person behind the story? That is pure magic. We believe reading isn't just about silence and textbooks, which is why our author meetups in Koramangala are loud, messy, and absolutely brilliant.

### Why We Love Author Sessions

When a child meets the creator of a story, that book stops being paper and ink and starts being a friend. We have hosted everything from live drawing sessions with Priya Kuriyan to brain-scrambling detective activities with Pika Nani. We love wrapping up our National Library Week celebrations with intimate chats that leave kids buzzing with excitement.

### What To Expect

- **Live Creative Demos:** Watch illustrators bring characters to life on a whiteboard right before your eyes.
- **Interactive Read-Alouds:** We do more than read; we do nest-building, craft-making, and sometimes even singing. Think 'Sur, Taal, aur Masti' (music, rhythm, and fun).
- **Book Signings:** There is nothing quite like holding a book that has been signed just for you by the author.
- **Q&A Sessions:** Kids get to ask the real questions—like why the main character made that silly choice or where the ideas come from.

We keep these sessions intimate. Whether it's a launch for 'A Bounty of Chilies' or a cozy chat with Mandira Shah, your child gets a front-row seat. Come join our noisy book gang and see how we make literature the wildest adventure in the room!

## About Hoo Hippocampus

We aren’t your average library where you have to tiptoe around. We are the noisy book gang in Koramangala that believes reading is much better when it’s shared with the people who actually write the stories!
