I prefer shooting during the golden hour, either early morning or late afternoon, because that soft, directional light creates a natural glow on skin tones and gives us that dreamy, blurred background without needing heavy editing. ### Why Choose Outdoor Photography? Studio environments can feel clinical and intimidating for young children. My approach to family and baby photography takes the action to the outdoors, where kids have room to move, play, and be themselves. Whether it is a quiet park in Thane or a scenic garden in Mumbai, these spaces provide a dynamic backdrop that feels personal rather than constructed. ### My Process I rely on Sony full-frame mirrorless cameras paired with fast prime lenses. These allow me to shoot in lower light conditions and create a shallow depth of field, which keeps the focus entirely on your family while blurring out the background. I do not ask for rigid poses. Instead, I prompt interactions—asking you to play, walk, or talk—so that I can catch the genuine expressions and spontaneous laughs that define your family dynamics. ### What to Expect * **Natural Lighting:** We work with available light to avoid the harsh shadows often caused by flashes. * **Comfort:** If the baby needs a break, we take it. There is no rush, and no strict hourly limit on the fun. * **Authenticity:** You will receive images that show your family as you really are, not a sanitized version of a photoshoot. I serve the entire Mumbai Metropolitan Area and am happy to recommend locations that offer the best light and quietest settings for your session. ## About Himanshu Shetty I’m Himanshu, a photographer who spends as much time roaming the streets as I do in local parks.
