I always apply a mix of lemon juice and sugar to seal the design once it starts to dry. Please never wash it off with water immediately, as that halts the oxidation process. Always scrape it off gently to let the color develop naturally over the next 24 to 48 hours. When I started my journey 8 years ago, I realized that many clients were worried about skin irritation from chemical-heavy cones or getting a dull, orange stain instead of a deep maroon one. That is why I started making my own 100% homemade organic henna cones. There are no harsh chemicals, just the goodness of pure Sojat henna powder and high-quality essential oils that are safe for all skin types. ### Why Organic Matters Many store-bought cones contain metallic dyes or PPD to give an instant dark color, but these can cause long-term skin damage. My organic henna works differently. It relies on the natural dye release process, which takes time.
