In our sessions, we start with the fundamentals—how to hold a brush or blend a pastel—but we quickly move to letting them draw what they see in their own world, whether that's a pet, a favorite cartoon, or a kite they saw flying yesterday. ### My Approach to Teaching Art My philosophy is simple: art should be a source of confidence, not stress. At Hema's Hues, we don't believe in rigid, cookie-cutter lessons where every student produces the exact same image. Instead, we encourage personal expression. #### What Students Experience * **Skill-Based Learning:** We guide children through the basics of sketching, shading, and perspective, tailored to their age and current ability. * **Diverse Mediums:** From oil pastels and colored pencils to watercolors, we use a variety of materials to keep engagement high and teach different techniques. * **Individual Attention:** Because our groups are small, every student gets direct feedback on their work. I make sure to correct technique—like how to grip the pencil or blend colors—without taking over the art. #### Why Parents Choose Us * **Confidence Building:** We focus on 'finishing the art.' Completing a project from start to finish gives a child a real sense of achievement. * **Creative Freedom:** Whether it's drawing a kite, a butterfly, or an abstract scene inspired by masters like S.H. Raza, we want kids to feel proud of what they create. * **Convenience:** We have studios across Prabhadevi, Powai, and Thane, making it easy to fit art classes into your child’s school schedule. Beyond our regular weekly classes, we also host festival workshops, summer camps, and creative sessions where kids explore clay, pebble art, and more. It is a space where art feels like home, and every student is known by their name and their unique story. ## About Hema's Hues Academy Hi, I’m Hema.
