## About Empowering Educators: Professional Development

In these workshops, I do not just talk at you. We use the same math manipulatives and sensory tools, like my Yonjuu cards, that I teach students to use. You spend the session playing, solving, and discussing, so you truly understand the method before you try it with your own students. It is about feeling the struggle of a learner and then finding the joy in the solution, just like your students will.

My professional development workshops are built on a simple premise: teachers should experience the same joy and discovery that we want for our students. Whether I am conducting a session at a partner school in Bangalore or traveling to your campus across India, the goal is to make the learning interactive and immediately applicable.

### What We Cover

*   **Math from Scratch:** We break down complex concepts into simple, visual steps. Teachers leave with concrete strategies to teach number sense and logical reasoning without relying on rote memorization.
*   **Science of Reading:** We look at how literacy integration works across subjects, turning the classroom into a space where reading is a tool for exploration, not just a drill.
*   **Social-Emotional Learning (SEL):** We focus on co-regulation and behavior management. I share practical ways to handle tough moments in class, keeping empathy at the center of the learning environment.

### Why This Approach Works

When I worked as a department chair, I saw too many students reaching upper grades still feeling lost. The gaps often start early. By training teachers in these hands-on methods, we fix the foundation. I provide master copies of worksheets, demo lessons, and digital summaries, so you are not left figuring out the implementation alone. You also get a week of email support after the training to troubleshoot any hurdles. It is about empowering you to lead, not just providing a one-time session that fades away.

I am Jaspreet, and my journey started with my son, Kai, and my own frustration as a high school math teacher. I realized that if we do not fix the foundation with play and empathy, our kids never learn to love math. Now, I travel to schools to help educators shift from old-school lectures to hands-on, heart-centered teaching.
