My kits shift that by using physical manipulatives—linking cubes, ten-frame cards, and sensory dough—to build the Concrete-Pictorial-Abstract bridge. It is about letting children build, break, and rebuild math problems until the concepts make sense, not just until they can recite a formula. I designed these kits because I saw too many children losing their confidence early on. Whether you are a parent looking to support your child at home or a teacher setting up a classroom center, these tools are built to help kids see math as something they can handle. ### Why the Concrete Matters The methodology follows a clear progression: Concrete to Pictorial to Abstract. * **Concrete:** We start with physical objects—linking cubes for counting, sensory dough for shaping numbers, and objects to represent quantities. * **Pictorial:** We use visual aids like my Yonjuu ten-frame cards to turn those objects into pictures. * **Abstract:** Only after they have physically experienced the math do we move to the standard symbols and numbers. ### What’s in the Setup Every kit is curated to encourage independence. You will find: * **Yonjuu Math Cards:** A proprietary deck that uses dot grids so kids instantly visualize magnitude and number bonds, rather than just guessing. * **Sensory Tools:** From non-toxic dough to linking cubes, these materials engage fine motor skills, which helps lock in cognitive understanding. * **Reusable Mats:** These guides provide the structure for activities like regrouping or finding patterns, so you aren't left wondering how to teach the 'how-to'.
