Often, they just have not had the chance to connect letters to actual sounds in a physical, meaningful way. My kits use tactile letter cards and object miniatures to bridge that gap, allowing children to see and touch how sounds become words. We focus on phonemic awareness first, which gives children the tools they need to decode text, rather than relying on guessing or memorizing sight words. The Science of Reading is not just a buzzword. It is a research-backed framework that maps how our brains actually learn to process written language. Many traditional systems rush this process, which causes children to feel anxious and disconnected from what they are reading. My Learn to Read, Read to Learn program slows this down, focusing on the five pillars of literacy: phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and comprehension. ### Why this approach works - **Multisensory engagement:** Children learn best when they are active. My kits include physical miniatures and tracing cards, turning abstract letter shapes into tangible experiences. - **Confidence over speed:** We prioritize understanding over pace.
