The reality is that we start with simple kihon (stances) and basic discipline. Before a child ever spars, they spend months learning how to stand, move, and respect their dojo, ensuring they build control and confidence in a safe, monitored environment. ### Building Strong Bodies and Minds At Hard Punch Karate Academy, we believe that Kyokushin is a path to character. For our younger students, training is not just about learning to punch or kick. It is about understanding the value of consistency. Whether we are practicing on open grounds during our outdoor foundation programs or inside our matted dojos, the goal remains the same: to turn fear into courage. ### The Training Process We structure our classes to ensure steady development: * **Kihon (Basics):** Children learn standing punches, blocks, and kicks practiced in lines. This builds focus and body awareness. * **Conditioning:** We incorporate calisthenics—like squats and jumping jacks—to improve overall fitness and stamina. * **Etiquette:** From day one, students learn the dojo oaths and bowing rituals. This instills respect for the teacher, their peers, and themselves. * **Progression:** Every student starts at a white belt. Through regular belt grading exams, they learn that rewards are earned through effort. Watching a student level up is the highlight of my work as a Sensei. ### Where We Train We are a family spread across Bengaluru. You can find our students training at: * Whitefields * KR Puram * Charitha Classic * Kadugodi (Gurkul Academy) * ThirumalaShetti Halli ### Safety First Full-contact karate requires grit, but safety is non-negotiable. We use EVA puzzle mats in our indoor dojos for fall protection, and we use training pads to teach children how to strike with power without risking injury. Our batch sizes are managed to ensure I can give personal attention and corrections to every student.
