## About Illustration & Art Prints

I get lost in my imagination, but it’s only with art that everything clicks into place. Most of my illustrations are a mix of nostalgia, movies I keep rewatching, and poetry that makes you stop and feel something. Every piece, honestly, is a little `jigar ka tukda` (piece of my heart).

### What Inspires My Work

- Old Bollywood and Hollywood films, classic rom-coms, and the kind of poetry that lingers for days
- Portraits mixed with typography, especially quotes that stick with me
- A lot of my art features words in both English and Devanagari - sometimes lines by Ghalib, sometimes just something I scribbled on a rough day

### What You’ll Find Here

- Movie-inspired art prints and postcards - good for wall corners, gifting, or for that one desk at work that needs some life
- Surreal dream art print series, pen-art style, when I just want to capture the feeling of being lost in a book or a memory
- Occasional paintings of `pahaad wale ghar` (mountain houses) that might show up as calendars or something small-batch

### Custom Pieces & Commissions

If there’s a favourite quote, a memory, or even a weird dream you want turned into art, I love working on custom poetry illustration and personal commissions. We can mix photos, words, or just a vibe - whatever feels true to you.

### How I Work

I mostly use Procreate for digital illustrations, but sometimes mix in pen or watercolours if a piece needs it. The focus is always on keeping things expressive and real, even if the lines aren’t perfect.

## Meet your expert

[Malvika](https://mytribe.in/handmadebymalvika)

### My story

Ten years in, and I still don’t know if I’m at the start or somewhere in the middle. Handmade by Malvika is me, losing and finding myself, painting memories—like my nani peeling oranges in winter sun, or my mother’s tiny garden. I grew up loving big vases, now I chase small joys. I sketch movies so the endings never come. My art is a jumble of Spiti houses, Tirthan valleys, and all the feelings I can’t say out loud.

### My work

- **Handmade Visual Art**: I make quirky ceramic vases, trinket bowls, planters, and wearable art badges inspired by mountains and poetry.
- **Memory-Inspired Illustration**: My digital illustrations and pottery often blend places and moments from my own memories.
- **Imperfect, Slow Craft**: Everything’s handmade, so expect uneven shapes and colors—each piece is jigar ka tukda, and I love the flaws.
- **Workshops & Commissions**: I host workshops for kids and adults, and take custom orders if you want something personal.
- **For Old Souls**: If you love slow days, bookstores, and things made with stories, you’ll feel at home with my work.
