## About Group Activities for Social Growth

When your child is ready to step out of 1:1 therapy, group sessions become the next big leap. We do not just put kids in a room and hope they play. We structure every activity—like hula hoop games or park outings—to teach specific social skills like turn-taking, waiting, and joint attention. It is about teaching them that 'High five de do' is not just a greeting, but a way to connect with a friend.

Group therapy is where we bridge the gap between clinical learning and real-world interaction. Many parents worry that if their child struggles to sit alone, a group will be too overwhelming. That is exactly why we start with controlled, small-group environments, designed to build confidence rather than create pressure.

Our group size is kept small, usually 4 to 8 children, matched by age and capability. With two therapists always present—a lead and a support—we ensure every child gets the attention they need while learning to navigate peer dynamics.

### Skills we focus on:
* **Impulse Control:** Games like 'Stop and Go' with traffic light cues help children learn to pause before they act, which is a vital skill for home and school life.
* **Shared Responsibility:** Simple tasks like putting away toys together or carrying chairs help children see themselves as part of a team, moving away from solitary play.
* **Joint Attention:** Through circle time and collaborative play, we help kids learn to look at what their friend is looking at, building the foundation for meaningful communication.

Whether it is a park outing to practice playing cricket or indoor dance sessions to encourage self-expression, these moments help children generalize the skills they have learned in individual sessions. It is not just about learning to share a toy; it is about learning to share an experience and thrive alongside others.
