While marigolds are a classic, I often blend them with unexpected elements, such as disco balls tucked into floral installations or modern lounge furniture set against traditional textiles. My goal is to create an atmosphere where your guests feel invited to linger, celebrate, and lose themselves in the energy of the moment. ### Designing Your Pre-Wedding Experience Your Mehendi and Haldi are the heartbeat of your wedding festivities. These events should be defined by movement, joy, and comfort. I design these spaces to encourage interaction, whether that means carving out dedicated photo-booth corners or creating lounge clusters where family and friends can gather naturally. ### Styles That Tell Your Story I approach every celebration with a fresh canvas. * **The Floral Carnival:** This style leans into abundance. Think lush Marigolds, hanging floral trellises, and vibrant color palettes that feel like a festival. I use this for clients who want high energy and a playful, celebratory backdrop. * **Boho-Chic & Traditional Fusion:** For those who want something rooted in culture but with a modern edge, I integrate Kathiyawadi patterns or traditional textiles with relaxed, lounge-style seating. It is about honoring heritage without sacrificing the relaxed vibe of an outdoor afternoon. * **Luxury & Minimalism:** Sometimes, the most striking look is a refined one. I use monochromatic floral themes—like an all-pink setup or sophisticated green and white palettes—to bring an elegant, editorial aesthetic to intimate spaces like the St. Regis or private villas. ### Practical Design Elements Beyond the visuals, I focus on the flow of your event. If we are working on an outdoor lawn or terrace, I factor in the time of day to ensure the lighting hits your decor perfectly, whether that is the golden hour for your Haldi or twilight for the Mehendi. My packages for these events include structural needs like draped tents, cabanas, and stage backdrops, ensuring you get a seamless look rather than a patchwork of rented items. We start by discussing your vision, and then we build the environment that allows your story to unfold. ## About Gurleen M Puri I do not just decorate spaces; I look for the story in every celebration.
