We recommend stopping the skirting 2 feet short on all four sides of the door opening; this allows for a clean, professional finish during final installation rather than trying to patch it up afterward. Most people believe that expensive materials guarantee a high-end finish. The reality is that top-tier material only works if the site preparation is accurate. We have seen countless projects where the wood was premium, but the result was frustrating because the foundational civil work was ignored. We share these tips because our factory-finished products rely on precise dimensions. If the bull marks are not right, or if the flooring level is off, even the best modular doorset will not fit properly. This section covers the technical ground that usually gets skipped: * **Bull Marks & Flooring:** Establishing the finished floor level (FFL) early is non-negotiable. Without it, your door frames will either sit too high or be sunk into the floor, ruining the alignment. * **Wall Aperture:** We often see contractors build walls without accounting for the required architrave margins. You need at least 2 inches of finished wall on all sides for a clean, structural fit. * **Hardware Planning:** Do not wait until the last minute. If you want concealed hinges or specific magnetic closers, the door thickness must be planned during the manufacturing stage, not guessed on-site. * **Cladding Constraints:** Do not let tiling delay your doors. We can measure and produce based on stone borders, so you do not have to wait for the entire cladding process to finish before we start production. Ultimately, our process is about preventing 'jugaad' at the site. Whether you are doing a full home renovation or just upgrading your wardrobes, get the site basics right first.
