Prices are what each provider told us or a business published, and where we hold none for what a photo shows, the price is our estimate of that setup from its parts at market rates, so check every price when you book.

## Q1. How much does office decoration cost in Bengaluru?

**Office decoration in Bengaluru runs from about ₹2,000 for a balloon arch at the door, by our estimate, to ₹2.5 lakh or more for the décor alone when an event company does up a launch. What you pay depends on how much of the office gets done, and whether there's a stage.** For Diwali on a floor of about 2,500 to 5,000 sq ft, with the entrance, reception, a photo corner and hangings over the desks, plan on about ₹12,000 to ₹35,000, an AI estimate. Ask every decorator whether GST is in the price: Party Choice adds about 18% if you want a GST invoice.

- **A balloon arch at the door, for an opening or a team day:** About ₹2,000 to ₹5,000. AI estimate. Bright and quick: an 8 by 8 ft arch in your colours and a ribbon to cut, with no print or logo. The décor and branded design alone: the entrance, the stage set, a photo zone and your colours throughout. **Ask for the list, whoever you book.** "Office Diwali decoration" can mean one door or a whole building. Get every area priced on its own line, with its size, fresh or artificial flowers, the logo print, setup and take-down, transport and GST, so you can drop a line to fit the budget. **Several floors?** Price each floor, the reception, the cafeteria and a photo corner as lines of their own. Hangings over the desks add about ₹4,000 to ₹12,000 for each further floor of 2,500 to 5,000 sq ft, an AI estimate.

**Doing it yourself works for the entrance and reception.** The flowers and your own team's time come to about ₹3,600 to ₹7,700 (question 3). Your building's facility team may do it too, so ask what it charges.

**Flowers cost more in festival week.** A flower job priced in September can cost more in November, so ask whether the quote holds for your date. In 2026, marigold rose from ₹40 to ₹60 a kg in the week before Varamahalakshmi and sold at ₹80 to ₹100 three days before Gowri-Ganesha. Party Choice prices each job fresh for that reason.

## Q2. Why do quotes for office event decoration vary so much?

**Mostly it's how much gets built, and the look you're paying for.** Jay Bhawani Decoration keeps it neat and bright: a balloon arch at the door and garlands in your colours round a backdrop with your logo, close to the picture you send. Party Choice builds a set your team poses in: big cutouts, a printed floor and placards, and at its top end a sequin wall, warm lights, a sofa and flowers on the tables. For an opening or a team day, the simple one does the job. For a launch or an awards night whose photos go on the company's pages, pay for the set.

- **An arch, a backdrop with your logo and a welcome board, for an opening:** ₹5,000 to ₹12,000. Jay Bhawani Decoration. **At the top, you pay for the pieces and the look they make.** The sequin wall, the sofa and the gold stands are Party Choice's own, brought in for the day and taken away after. Under warm light the corner looks like a hotel lounge.

**Three more things to ask every decorator:**

- **Reach.** Jay Bhawani Decoration works within 10 km of Jayanagar. Party Choice covers the city for bigger jobs.
- **The print.** Both print the backdrop on flex, which Karnataka's 2016 notification lists among banned items. Ask for cloth and what it does to the price: a Bengaluru printer does cloth from ₹25 a sq ft.
- **The picture.** Before you pay, ask what will be different from it: the flowers, the size and the colours.

*These are the decorators' own prices. Party Choice's catalogue is from 2025. Jay Bhawani Decoration doesn't say whether GST is in its price, so ask.*

## Q3. Can we do the office Diwali decoration ourselves?

**Yes, for the entrance and reception, if someone on your team can tie a toran and lay a flower rangoli.** The flowers and your own team's time come to about ₹3,600 to ₹7,700, against about ₹4,000 to ₹15,000 for a decorator, both our estimates (question 1). So it saves a little, and costs your team an afternoon. Market flowers come with a cash slip, so check that finance will take one.

**An entrance and reception in flowers, done by your own team**

Our estimate from flower-market prices in news reports (March, August and September 2026), The Flora's prices and the minimum wage, each line rounded to ₹100. The quantities are our guess, and flowers cost more in festival week.

- **What a decorator brings.** The hands to dress a door and lay a rangoli, flowers bought in bulk, and for a balloon arch the pump and the stock.
- **What one may still leave to you.** The ladder, non-stop power, permissions, chairs and the cleaning before and after. Ask who brings what.
- **The bill.** Flowers from KR Market, Malleshwaram or Yeshwanthpur may come with only a cash slip. If finance needs a GST invoice for every rupee, doing it yourself may not work.
- **If you do it every year.** Buy the pieces that come out again, since a decorator's artificial stock goes back with the decorator. On 5 October 2026, a ready artificial marigold decoration for one door cost ₹499 to ₹899 on Lamansh's website, a string of 20 LED diyas ₹355, and 10 m of warm-white LED lights ₹99 at Chronos Lights.

## Q4. What does an annual day stage cost in Bengaluru?

**A decorated stage costs about ₹15,000 to ₹1 lakh, and GST, sound and an anchor can come on top.** At ₹15,000 to ₹30,000, a stage is set for photos and a grand entry: a backdrop in shimmer, drapes and balloons, a few stage lights and an arch at the door. At ₹75,000 to ₹95,000 before GST, it is set for speeches and awards: a frame up to 30 ft wide with lights on it, chairs for the people on stage, podiums and flowers all along the edge.

**Here is what each decorator's stage has.**

- **Jay Bhawani Decoration, ₹15,000 to ₹30,000.** A banquet hall package: a 10 by 10 or 10 by 12 ft backdrop in shimmer, drapes, balloons and artificial flowers, 4 to 6 stage lights, an entrance arch, an aisle, a welcome board, and cold pyro and dry ice for the entry. Check the cold pyro with your building first (question 5). Their other stage, 16 to 24 ft across with over 800 balloons, cutouts and lit letters, is in the same range, so ask what moves their price within it.
- **Sri Sai Balaji Tents and Events, from ₹25,000.** Stage decoration for school events and functions. We have no list of what is in it.
- **Party Choice, ₹75,000 to ₹95,000 before GST.** A conference stage. The frame is up to 30 ft wide, draped in black or white, with room for your own screen or a banner. It has 8 to 10 stage lights on trussing, 8 to 10 VIP chairs, and podiums with room for your logo. The flowers are marigold, roses, gerberas and gladioli: 25 to 30 ft along the stage, and more on the podiums. It also lays a 50 ft aisle runner, sets flowers at the door and dresses the first 20 audience chairs with covers and bows.

*Party Choice's catalogue is from 2025, and its prices are before GST. Jay Bhawani Decoration and Sri Sai Balaji Tents and Events don't say whether GST is in theirs, so ask.*

**Or hire the parts and put the stage up yourself.** Here's what a 24 by 12 ft stage for about 250 people adds up to for a day:

Our estimate, each line rounded to ₹100. It uses TechnoRent's day rates, except for the bigger sound system, which has no day price, so we used its 12-hour price. Rent For Event doesn't say how many days its frame prices cover. It gives no unit for its carpet price either, so we read it as a sq ft. Both firms' pages are from 2024. The print is at a Bengaluru printer's starting rates for banners. The total includes sound and a screen. It leaves out flowers, design and a decorator. The quantities are our guess.

**A decorator dresses the stage. Sound, an anchor and the rest are separate lines:**

- **Sound.** Sri Sai Balaji Tents and Events charges ₹8,000 for basic sound: two speakers, two mics, an amplifier and a mixer. If you hire it yourself, TechnoRent's list doesn't say whether it sends an operator.
- **An anchor.** Sri Sai Balaji Tents and Events charges ₹6,000 for an emcee for about two hours. Party Choice can also arrange sound, an anchor and a photographer through partner firms. Ask what they cost.
- **An event company.** Black Pepper Events' guide to a product launch for 100 to 250 guests puts AV, staging and lighting at ₹2 to ₹4 lakh, and décor and branded design at ₹1 to ₹2.5 lakh. Those are the firm's own ranges, with no method given.
- **The venue's own decorator.** One Bengaluru banquet hall's guide says five-star and heritage hotels often allow only their own. Before you pay anyone an advance, ask the venue in writing whether an outside decorator may come in and what it charges for one.

## Q5. Can a decorator set up overnight in our office building?

**Yes, if your building allows it, and the building sets the rules.** Ask the facility desk for four things in writing: the hours a crew may work, the gate-pass list with IDs, the goods lift, and what may touch walls and glass. Then put the night or weekend setup in the quote.

**We found no tech park that publishes these rules, so get them from the facility desk.**

- **How long setup takes.** Jay Bhawani Decoration puts up an inauguration setup in one to two hours with two people, and a full banquet hall package in three to four. Party Choice gave us no setup time for office stages; its largest birthday setup takes four to five hours with a lead and four assistants. So ask the building to allow five to six hours for setup.
- **Night and weekend work.** No price list we read states a night charge, so ask for it in writing with the quote. TK Balloon Shades told us he sets up late at night or before dawn at no extra charge.
- **Walls and glass.** Tape can mark walls and ceilings, so ask for the balloons to come down within 24 hours. If the building allows nothing on the walls, ask for a free-standing frame. Rent For Event hires out backdrop frames for ₹1,500 to ₹5,000 each, delivered and set up. Its page doesn't say for how many days, so ask.
- **Smoke and fire.** A smoke detector can't tell stage smoke or incense from a fire and can set off the whole building's alarm, so ask the building before any fog machine, cold pyro or incense. If it says no flame, use LED diyas.
- **Power and the gate.** Some firms leave the power to you, so ask the building's electrician to be on call if you're adding lights. Have the gate pass ready too: one firm we read says its decorator won't wait more than 45 minutes.
- **A big campus.** If a contractor brings 50 or more contract workers on any day, they need a licence. That is under the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, which replaced the Contract Labour Act in November 2025, and your security team may ask for it.

## Q6. Do decorators give a GST invoice and accept 30-day payment?

**Ask each decorator before you pick one. Party Choice gives a GST invoice if you ask, and adds about 18%. The other three don't say whether GST is in their price.** The 4 decorators here usually take an advance first and the rest when the work is done, so agree any credit period before you book.

**Here is what each decorator asks for up front, and what one hire firm asks.**

## Q7. How early should we book a decorator for office Diwali or a December annual day?

**For office Diwali, we'd book in the first half of October.** Diwali is Sunday 8 November 2026, and Jay Bhawani Decoration does only one or two jobs a day and Party Choice two or three. For a December annual day at a resort, settle the venue's rules on outside decorators first.

**Here is the notice each one asks for.** We found no figures on how busy decorators get in Diwali week.

## Q8. Will a decorator refund our advance if the office event is cancelled or moved?

**Often not: several decorators here keep the advance once they've bought material, and Party Choice gives no refund at all.** Pay the smallest advance they'll take, ask about moving the date before you pay, and get in writing who pays if the crew damages your office.

- **Damage.** Party Choice charges full repair or replacement for a damaged rented prop like a sequin wall, a sofa or a chandelier. Other firms we read also bill you for damage to what they bring. None says who pays if the crew scratches the lobby floor or cracks a glass partition, so put that in the quote.
- **Pay so there's a record.** Pay by UPI or bank transfer and keep the quote and the WhatsApp thread.
- **If you book through us.** If something isn't going to plan, a person here sorts it out.

- **An office in Kadubeesanahalli, Aug 2026:** Decoration up from **29 October to 6 November**. It can go up **after office hours**. They don't want heavy decor. (Office, Up for 9 days, After hours)

- **An office in Sarjapura Signal, Aug 2026:** An office lunch on 21 August, about 50 guests, in the office cafeteria, indoors. The whole cafeteria, **about 3,000 sq ft**, to decorate. No particular logo or element. After our first shortlist they said the decorators **looked like wedding and birthday organisers**. (Office lunch, Cafeteria, 3,000 sq ft)

- **An office in Indiranagar, Jun 2026:** A balloon arch for a corporate event on 8 July, indoors. An entrance arch in the colours of the pictures they sent, a photo backdrop and a welcome easel stand. They have **no high-resolution design file** for the backdrop and need help with it. (Corporate event, Arch and backdrop, No design file)

- **An office in HSR Layout, Aug 2026:** Independence Day decor in their office, indoors, **the same day**. A tricolour backdrop, with a budget of **₹5,000 in total**. It's fine if the decorator comes by 6 pm. (Independence Day, Same day, Budget ₹5,000)

### Will fresh flowers last all of Diwali week in the office?

Don't count on it. Fresh flowers can dry or change colour once they're up, and we found no published figure for how long marigold lasts. For decor that stays up all week, use artificial marigold: a ready door piece cost ₹499 to ₹899 on Lamansh's website on 5 October 2026. Add fresh flowers only on the day. Artificial also suits an office where someone is allergic.

### Can we light real diyas and candles in the office?

Ask the building first, and keep any flame well away from drapes and hanging strings. If it says no, LED diyas do the job: on Lamansh's website on 5 October 2026, one LED candle was ₹30 and a string of 20 LED diyas was ₹355.

### Can the backdrop be a flex print with our logo?

Ask for cloth instead. Karnataka's 2016 notification lists plastic flex, banners and buntings among the banned items. At Kapricorn Prints in Bengaluru, cloth banners start at ₹25 a sq ft, and fabric banners, which it recommends for events, at ₹35. Send your logo as a vector file when you book, since Jay Bhawani Decoration needs the print final two days ahead.

### Can we keep the props and use them next festival?

Only what you buy. A decorator's frames, stands and artificial pieces go back with the decorator: Jay Bhawani Decoration collects them after the event. Buy the pieces you want to keep, like an artificial marigold door decoration or LED diyas.

### How do I know a decorator has done offices, and not only birthdays?

Ask for photos of an office job they did themselves, with the place and the month. A picture sent on WhatsApp can be a reference from the internet rather than their own work. Ask us and we'll ask the decorators here for them.

### Will the decorator's crew speak English?

Not always. Party Choice's crew works in Kannada, and Jay Bhawani Decoration talks to clients in Hindi and Kannada. Say which language you need when you ask us for names.

## Where the numbers come from

**Where the numbers come from**

- **Decorators:** the records of the 4 decorators above, from their own price lists and terms, given to us. Party Choice's corporate catalogue is from 2025. One of our curators wrote down Jay Bhawani Decoration's prices with them. Party Choice's prices are before GST. The other three records don't say whether GST is in a price.
- **What each step costs across Bengaluru:** the price ladder in question 1 covers five kinds of job. The first three are AI estimates, built up from their parts at market rates (balloons and flowers at shop and market prices, a cloth print at a Bengaluru printer's ₹25 to ₹35 a sq ft, and the crew's hours), then checked against the decorators' own prices above: TK Balloon Shades' ₹1,800 simplest arch and Jay Bhawani Decoration's ₹5,000 to ₹12,000 opening setup. The hangings for each further floor are an AI estimate too. A floor is taken as 2,500 to 5,000 sq ft, with 30 to 60 artificial marigold strings, lanterns and lights over the desks and two or three people's time. The stage step is the span of the decorators' own stage prices, from Jay Bhawani Decoration's ₹15,000 to Party Choice's ₹95,000 before GST. The top step is Black Pepper Events' own range for décor and branded design at a launch for 100 to 250 guests.
- **Requests:** the request cards are Bengaluru requests to mytribe for office and corporate event decoration, April to September 2026. Each card puts what the person wrote to us on WhatsApp into a few lines.

- **Flower prices:** Deccan Herald, 14 August 2026; Hans India, 18 March 2026; Urban Acres, 12 September 2026, summarising a Vijay Karnataka report.
- **Our own sums:** both bills are rounded to ₹100 a line, and each total is the sum of its rounded lines. The quantities are our guess. A flower entrance and reception done by your own team: 3 to 6 kg of marigold at ₹40 to ₹100 a kg and 1 to 2 kg of chrysanthemum at ₹160 to ₹300 a kg (the news reports above), 1 or 2 bunches of mango leaves at ₹25 to ₹40, 12 to 24 gladioli stems and one ready bouquet at The Flora's prices, and two people for 3 to 4 hours at Karnataka's minimum wage (May 2026). An annual day stage hired for a day: three 12 by 8 ft platforms at TechnoRent's ₹4,000 a day, 288 sq ft of carpet at Rent For Event's ₹2 to ₹4 (we read the unit as a sq ft), two backdrop frames at Rent For Event's ₹1,500 to ₹5,000 (its page doesn't say how many days that covers, and TechnoRent's day price for a frame is also ₹1,500), a 200 sq ft print at ₹25 a sq ft (Kapricorn Prints, cloth banner) to ₹35 (its fabric banner), both starting rates, TechnoRent's PA and mics (the bigger sound system at its 12-hour price, as no day price is listed), 6 to 8 of its par lights at ₹349 a day and two moving heads at ₹3,000 each at the top end, its podium and projector, and two helpers at the daily minimum wage.
- **Rules:** Karnataka's 2016 plastic notification on flex and banners; the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, which replaced the Contract Labour Act from 21 November 2025; the National Building Code's fire chapter on smoke detectors.

**What we couldn't find**

- A decorator's or florist's published price for decorating an office for Diwali, apart from online package sites, which we don't list. The ladder's first three steps lean on our estimate.
- A published price for decorating several floors or a whole building, or from a building's facility team or a freelance decorator.
- A Diwali-week flower price.
- Any Bengaluru tech park's rules for outside decorators.
- A decorator's charge for night or weekend work.
- Whether any decorator will give credit or work against a purchase order.
- How long fresh marigold lasts once it's up.
