This created a forest canopy effect that functions as both a visual focal point and a natural acoustic buffer, effectively managing sound levels in a busy bar environment while maximizing the available floor area. Designing an experiential space requires understanding the intersection of human comfort and physical infrastructure. We do not simply fill corners with plants. Our methodology centers on how biological systems can influence user behavior, dwell time, and atmospheric quality. ### The Engineering Behind the Aesthetics In high-traffic venues like clubs and cafés, landscaping must be durable and space-efficient. In the KGA project, we utilized vertical green walls not just for visual impact, but as functional partitions that provide privacy and thermal regulation for diners. These walls act as natural air filters, addressing indoor VOCs and CO2 levels in real time, which is critical in semi-enclosed commercial dining areas. ### Integrating with Architecture Successful biophilic design relies on coordination with the existing architecture. Our team collaborated with the interior teams to ensure that our integrated planters were load-bearing and aligned with the lighting and ventilation requirements. By treating the greenery as a living chandelier and support column overlay, we maintained the structural integrity of the venue while adding the calming presence of nature. ### Measurable Impacts For hospitality clients, the goal is always to improve the guest experience. By selecting plant species that are low-maintenance yet high-impact, we ensure that the environmental benefits—such as humidity stabilization and sound absorption—are consistent. This creates a space that feels managed, quiet, and deliberate, directly contributing to the premium atmosphere of the venue. ## About Green World Design I focus on the intersection of biology and architecture.
