If you look at the Ficus in these photos, it is positioned to get exactly the indirect light it needs to thrive without burning. I also replace standard potting soil with a custom lightweight mix. This keeps your floors clean, improves drainage, and prevents root rot. It is these small, practical details that keep your plants healthy long after I leave. People often ask why some plants thrive in their home while others fade quickly. It usually comes down to three things: lighting, the potting medium, and the specific needs of the variety. In these projects, I used hardier indoor varieties like the Raven ZZ and the Bird of Paradise. These are excellent for Bengaluru homes because they handle our typical indoor conditions well. I don't just drop a pot and leave. I look for the micro-climate in your room. I identify where the AC drafts are, where the natural light hits, and how much air circulation there is. This helps me suggest plants that will actually grow, not just look good for a week. The planters you see here serve a purpose beyond style. I use Fiber Reinforced Plastic because it is durable, doesn't fade, and keeps the roots cool. I also use LECA clay balls at the base for drainage. This ensures you are not dealing with soggy roots or soil spills on your carpet or tiles. Whether it is a dark corner that needs a pop of green or a bright living room requiring a statement tree, the goal is always the same: low-maintenance greenery that makes your home feel calm.
