Whether you are struggling with a soft pastel portrait or blending watercolours, I am right there to guide you—usually telling you, 'isko merge acchi tarah se karo' (merge this properly). Our focus is on the process of creation, helping you build skills like tonal values and perspective at your own pace, regardless of your past experience. Art isn't just for children or professionals; it is for every 'mhaataara tarun' (old youngster) looking to find peace on a canvas. At Grahin, we have designed our adult and senior programs to be more than just a class. It is a community where you can shed self-doubt and finally start that portrait or landscape you’ve been thinking about. **What You Will Experience** We cover a broad spectrum of mediums—charcoal for sketching, watercolours for expressive landscapes, and oils for deep portraiture. You aren't just copying from a book. We teach the fundamentals of light, shadow, and anatomy, ensuring you understand the 'why' behind every brushstroke. For those picking up art after decades, we offer a relaxed, pressure-free environment. **Our Teaching Approach** * **Personal Guidance:** With batch sizes limited to 10-15, you get direct feedback. We don't believe in rigid rules; we believe in your unique style. * **Technical Mastery:** From 'live' still life sessions (we’ve even sketched vada pav!) to studying human anatomy, we build your technical foundation. * **Community:** Join us for our annual exhibitions where your work gets showcased alongside others. It’s not just about the painting; it’s about the 'aatmiyata' (love and affection) that makes our studio a second home. Whether you are at our Ghatkopar, Dadar, or Thane center, the atmosphere remains the same: supportive, creative, and welcoming. Come by, pick up a charcoal pencil, and let's get started. ## About Grahin Art Institute I started Grahin in 2011 because I truly believe art belongs to everyone, from age four to seventy. I’m here to help you get past the self-doubt and find your own creative voice through painting and sketching. It’s all about the joy of learning, not just the perfect finish.
