## About Artfully Layered Nehru Jackets

When we construct these jackets, we focus on the fusing to ensure a crisp silhouette that does not bunch up over your kurta. Whether you opt for a structured raw silk piece or a softer jacquard design, the fit around the shoulders and waist is tailored to your specific measurements, preventing the boxy look common in off-the-rack alternatives.

### Construction and Fit
Our approach to the Nehru jacket, or Bandi, centers on structural integrity. We use fully fused interlining to ensure the garment maintains a stiff, crisp silhouette regardless of the fabric. This is essential for the sharp, formal look required at weddings or high-stakes events. We factor in shoulder slope and stomach girth during our drafting process to ensure the jacket lies flat against your chest.

### Material and Design
We source fabrics that offer both texture and depth. You will find raw silk and heavy jacquards that hold their shape, alongside breathable linings to keep you comfortable during long functions. Our design philosophy favors a fusion of old-school charm and current aesthetics. This means we use traditional motifs, such as floral embroidery or heritage architectural prints, but apply them in patterns that remain clean and modern.

### The Process
Located in Karol Bagh, we invite you to visit our studio for a design consultation. During this session, we discuss fabric choices, lining, and the level of embroidery required. We handle every detail in-house, ensuring that your final piece is crafted to your specifications with a typical turnaround of 7 to 10 days.
