We work with zero negative space, using tiny 000-sized brushes to capture every detail of the jewelry and facial expressions. Because these are complex, we share work-in-progress updates so you see the layers of color and precision building up. Since we ship them rolled and unframed, you have the freedom to pick a frame that perfectly matches your home's decor once the art arrives. ### Traditional Kerala Art, Painted for Your Home Traditional Kerala mural art is a labor of love. Unlike standard canvas paintings, these murals require a multi-layer application technique to get those deep, vibrant tones right. We stick to the authentic Kerala mural aesthetic, using a 5-color palette that honors the tradition. ### What Goes Into Your Painting? - **Medium:** We use artist-grade acrylics on medium-grain cotton canvas. This ensures the colors stay vibrant for years. - **Process:** Every high-detail piece involves a pencil sketch sign-off before we start painting. We want to ensure the composition feels right for your space before we add color. - **Finish:** Each mural gets a double coat of varnish to seal those heavy-body colors and protect the canvas from dust and humidity. ### Commonly Asked Questions **How do I choose the right size?** Think about where you want to place it. Kathakali faces usually work best as a standalone focal point, while Theyyam murals, with their intricate dot work, look great in spaces where you have room to step back and appreciate the details. **Can you match my room's color scheme?** Yes. While we stick to traditional themes, we can adapt the color palette to better match your wall colors or existing home decor. Just let us know your preferences. **How is the art shipped?** We ship all large mural canvases rolled in high-gauge protective PVC tubes. This is the safest way to prevent damage during transit. It arrives ready for you to take to your local framer, which also gives you the flexibility to choose a frame that fits your budget and style. ## About Golden Mist Art Gallery We are Golden Mist Art Gallery, a small team rooted in Kannur and painting from our hearts in Bangalore.
