It demands a deep understanding of river hydrology—learning to read eddies, currents, and complex slalom gates to navigate rapids efficiently. Our training moves beyond basic paddling, focusing on the aggressive techniques and rapid decision-making needed for national-level slalom racing. Our programs turn theory into muscle memory on the water. From the roaring rapids of the Kali River in Dandeli to high-stakes events like the Malabar River Festival, we provide the platform for Karnataka’s rising stars to sharpen their skills. You can see the results of this work in the recent achievements of our athletes, such as Dhanalakshmi’s gold medal at the National Canoe Slalom Championship and the impressive slalom runs of 15-year-old Pranjala Shetty. We don't just train athletes; we help host the national stage. By co-organizing the 12th Senior and 11th Junior National Canoe Slalom Championships right here in Karnataka, we give our trainees front-row access to international-standard racing and coaching. Our syllabus for competitive training includes: * **Technical Hydrology:** Analyzing river currents and holes to choose the fastest lines. * **Slalom Proficiency:** Precision maneuvering through competitive gate sequences. * **Physical Conditioning:** Endurance training designed for the high-intensity demands of whitewater racing. * **Mentorship:** Learning from national-level coaches who guide you from basics to podium finishes. Whether you are aiming for state-level trials or looking to master professional whitewater navigation, our coaching is structured to build technical proficiency and mental resilience. If you are serious about taking your paddling to the professional level, contact us to discuss our athlete selection and training batches. ## About General Thimayya National Academy of Adventure At GETHNAA, we treat the river as our classroom and the water as our playing field.
