They represent our process of blending traditional Indian spatial principles, like internal courtyards and natural water cooling, with modern sustainability goals. When we design a workspace or campus, we prioritize natural airflow and biophilic elements to ensure the building itself functions as a restorative environment for everyone who uses it. ### Recognition Rooted in Purpose Awards are milestones, but our real measure of success is how a building performs and how people interact within it. Our recognition at the World Architecture Festival and DNA Paris Design Awards reflects a long-term dedication to specific design values. ### Design Principles That Catch The Jury's Eye * **Biophilic Integration:** At the Bosch Learning Campus, we implemented a stepped water body. It isn't just aesthetic; it’s a cooling element that reduces energy loads. This aligns with our focus on passive thermal comfort. * **Sustainable Regeneration:** For our 'Lone Lung Space' project, we didn't start with a blank slate. We took an abandoned industrial site and reimagined it as a community hub. This approach highlights how architects can contribute to urban health rather than just building new concrete blocks. * **Cultural Context:** Whether it’s integrating Mangalore tiles or designing a facade inspired by avian flight, we ensure our projects stay grounded in the local vernacular while meeting the technical demands of a modern headquarters or school. ### Why This Matters for Your Project When we approach your project, we apply the same rigorous design methodology that garnered these nominations. We evaluate your site for sun-path and wind direction before drawing a single line. We coordinate MEP and structural requirements early to ensure that when you walk into your finished space, you don't just see a design—you feel the soul of the architecture. ## About Gayathri & Namith Architects We are Gayathri and Namith. We founded this practice to prove that Indian tradition and modern innovation can coexist beautifully. We spend as much time on-site listening to the wind and the topography as we do at our drawing boards, ensuring every space we design breathes.
