Before we talk about flowers, I look at the ground. If it is uneven or soft, I build a level platform with full carpeting. My outdoor work is not just about aesthetics. It is about making sure your guests are not walking on dirt, your furniture sits flat, and your stage does not wobble. Outdoor weddings require a level of precision that many overlook. I have handled everything from riverside ceremonies in Rishikesh to heritage fort weddings in Alwar. The secret to a successful outdoor event is not just the theme; it is the fabrication. Here is how I approach these spaces: * Ground Preparation: At farmhouse venues like those in Sainik Farms, I ensure wall-to-wall carpeting and ply boarding to level the ground. No one wants to wear heels on uneven grass. * Lighting Control: Without the controlled environment of a banquet hall, lighting becomes critical. I use trussing to support heavy crystal chandeliers and focused LED setups to create a ceiling of light, which defines the space and keeps the energy contained when the sun goes down. * Weather-Ready Decor: Whether it is high-perimeter masking to block out unwanted backgrounds or sturdy structures that can handle a breeze, my team builds for the environment. * Venue-Specific Approach: If we are at a heritage site like Tijara Fort, I prefer lighter, accent decor that highlights the architecture rather than hiding it. For a blank-slate farmhouse, I go for structural, immersive design. I do not just decorate. I build a venue within a venue. Whether you need a massive hanger structure for a winter evening or a simple mandap setup by the Ganga, my team and I handle the logistics, so you can focus on the ceremony. ## About Wedding Decor by Gaur I am Vipnesh Gaur, and I have spent the last 40 years learning that nature is the best backdrop, but it needs a steady hand to make it wedding-ready. My team and I take care of the structural heavy lifting—the flooring, lighting, and fabrication—so the outdoor setting feels both luxurious and comfortable.
