Whether it is integrating storage into arched wall niches or selecting specific stone bases to anchor a dining table, we focus on the interplay of textures, such as matte veneer against polished marble, to ensure every corner feels intentional and useful. Architecture is often about the big picture, but we believe the strength of a home lies in the details that handle daily life. We avoid 'filler' design—no random masala pull-outs just to occupy an 8-inch gap. Instead, we look for ways to solve structural challenges while adding character. Our approach to dining areas, for instance, starts with understanding how you host. Is the table a gathering spot for loud family dinners or a quiet workspace? We use materials like white marble tops on sculptural brass bases or dark wood cabinetry to create a backdrop that feels grounded yet distinct. Similarly, staircases offer more than just vertical transition. By using grey marble for steps and rich veneer for railings, we turn circulation paths into a visual centerpiece. We often use the space underneath for greenery or concealed storage, proving that even the most functional elements can be beautiful. From the arches that define our 'House of Arcs' project to the custom console pieces we sketch for individual foyers, our process is about blending vintage contemporary styles with minimalist layouts. If you have an awkward column or a blank wall that needs meaning, we find a way to incorporate it into the design rather than hiding it behind unnecessary cladding. We design for the reality of living in Mumbai, where every square foot must earn its place. ## About GA Design We are a family of architects and designers in Mumbai who do not believe in catalog homes. We thrive on the debates and late-night sketches that turn a simple corner into a work of art, ensuring your home reflects your story, not a trend.
