We finish each piece with a matte PU coating, creating a surface that is heat and water resistant while keeping the natural texture of the wood front and center. ### Why Our Dining Sets Last In a world of mass-produced furniture, we focus on structural integrity. When you choose a dining set from us, you are getting a piece of engineering. We use seasoned solid timber, typically Teak or Acacia, combined with engineered mild steel bases to ensure your table remains stable after years of daily use. ### Structural Logic We do not hide our connections. You will see exactly how the wood meets the steel. We use traditional joinery techniques, reinforced with modern adhesives, to ensure that every table and chair is built to hold its form. If you need something sturdier or lighter, we adjust the engineering of the frame to suit the space. ### Finishes That Breathe We avoid plastic-like lamination. Instead, we use premium Polyurethane (PU) polish, which provides a water and heat-resistant barrier while allowing the wood grain to remain tactile. Our metal bases are powder-coated in matte black or gunmetal to protect against rust while maintaining an industrial aesthetic. ### Designing for Your Space No two dining areas are the same. We size each table specifically for your floor plan. Whether you need a compact four seater for a city apartment or an expansive eight seater for a larger residence, we tailor the dimensions and proportions to ensure the room feels balanced. Visit our studio in Sanjayanagara to see the materials and feel the weight of our craftsmanship firsthand. ## About Funktion Design We are Funktion Design. We treat every dining table and chair as a structural study, balancing raw material honesty with daily functionality.
