We work with two distinct directions: the vibrant, traditional Ram-themed look featuring rich marigold latkans and brass accents, or a soft, contemporary aesthetic using white and pink florals with natural banana tree elements. If you are hosting at venues like Siddharth Banquets or Hiravati Banquets, we can adapt these layouts to fit the specific hall architecture and lighting conditions. ### Traditional vs. Modern Ceremonial Decor The Janoi, or thread ceremony, is a significant milestone that deserves a setting which honors tradition while looking polished. Our approach focuses on two main design philosophies that we frequently execute across Mumbai. **The Traditional Ram-Themed Setup** This style leans into the auspicious nature of the ritual. We use bold, vibrant marigold (genda) strings as the primary medium, paired with deep orange and yellow hues. These setups incorporate traditional brass Samai oil lamps and matkas, creating a warm, grounded environment that feels authentic to religious customs. It is ideal for families who want a classic, festive look that photographs well. **The Contemporary Floral Aesthetic** For those preferring a softer, more modern vibe, we pivot to a palette of whites, creams, and pastel pinks. Instead of heavy marigolds, we use mogra and tuberose strings to create a fragrant, serene canopy. We often incorporate natural banana trees dressed with delicate floral garlands, providing a fresh, elegant backdrop that feels airy and sophisticated. This style works exceptionally well for indoor banquet halls where artificial lighting can be used to highlight the floral textures. ### Practical Considerations for Your Venue When we plan your ceremony, we look at the specific venue constraints: * **Seating Layouts:** We provide low-height wooden Bajots or Patlas for the main ritual, ensuring the setup remains accessible and comfortable. * **Entrance Decor:** Whether it is a traditional Toran of mango leaves and marigolds or a floral archway, we ensure the first impression matches the rest of the decor. * **Lighting:** In venues like Hiravati or Siddharth Banquets, we recommend using LED color washing to accentuate the backdrop colors, especially for evening ceremonies. If you have a specific color theme or floral preference in mind, let us know. We enjoy blending your personal ideas with our established themes to create a setting that feels unique to your family. ## About Forum Decorators We believe a Janoi ceremony deserves a backdrop that is as meaningful as the ritual itself. Our team focuses on balancing sacred requirements with aesthetics that provide a calm, beautiful setting for your family prayers.
