## About Artisanal Indian Sweets

When shooting mithai, the biggest challenge is capturing texture, not just shape. I focus on isolating the gloss of a gulab jamun or the granular finish of a ladoo using macro techniques that add real depth. Whether you need a festive flatlay for a social media campaign or a high-end hero shot for your packaging, I treat every sweet like the main character.

Mithai isn't just sugar and flour; it's nostalgia. When I photograph traditional Indian sweets, my goal is to capture the story behind the sweet. 

### My Approach to Styling
It starts with prop selection. I use authentic brass thalis, banana leaves, and marigold petals to create a frame that feels like a home kitchen or a festive temple setting. For a more modern, commercial edge, I pivot to clean marble backgrounds and minimalist styling. 

### Lighting for Texture
Lighting is everything. I manipulate soft, natural-style light to emphasize the gloss of syrup-soaked sweets or the intricate design of a modak. I avoid harsh glares that flatten the image, opting for a directional glow that makes the food look juicy and fresh. 

### Technical Workflow
My process covers everything from high-resolution hero shots for product packaging to high-volume content for your social media channels. I handle the styling myself, ensuring the garnish—whether it's saffron strands, silver vark, or crushed pistachios—is placed perfectly before the shutter clicks. If you are launching a festive menu, we will focus on composition and color palettes that make your brand stand out in a crowded market.
