When you draw a wrong line, let it stay. This practice forces you to observe closely and trust your hand-eye coordination rather than correcting mistakes immediately. It is how you develop the confidence to sketch freehand, accurately translating what you see onto paper without relying on crutches. Our 3-month Foundation Certificate is designed to strip away the guesswork. You start by learning to see—not just the object, but its underlying structure. This is not a casual hobby class; it is a rigorous module that demands commitment. ### What You Will Learn We focus on dry media, primarily charcoal, graphite, and pencil. The syllabus is broken down into: * **Anatomy:** Understanding the skeletal structure and muscle placement of the human face and body. * **Perspective:** Mastering 1, 2, and 3-point perspective to create depth in your drawings. * **Chiaroscuro:** Studying light and shadow to create volume and three-dimensional form. * **Still Life:** Working with plaster casts and physical arrangements to understand light logic and composition. ### The Gurukul Methodology Our classes are conducted in a studio environment in Jayanagar.
