Instead, we start every session with an invocation, creating a quiet space where you can focus on form, anatomy, or painting techniques without the anxiety of getting it perfect. As one of our gurus often says, don't rush for the eraser—those 'wrong' lines are often where your real style begins to emerge. At Fine Arts Gurukul, we treat art as a sadhana—a disciplined daily practice that requires patience and humility. Our Jayanagar studio is designed to strip away the noise of city life, offering a grounded space for students to focus. Whether you are studying for our Fine Arts Diploma or joining a short-term sketching workshop, the environment remains the same: steady, focused, and free from the distraction of competition. What happens in a session? You might see students working on live model head studies, using plaster casts to understand classical light and shadow, or focusing on perspective grids. We prioritize building a foundation before moving to color. You will learn to see beyond the surface—mastering anatomy, geometric decomposition, and value study before you ever pick up a brush. We believe that if you follow the process, the technique follows. You will find us working with traditional dry media like charcoal and graphite for months before transitioning to the structural watercolor or acrylic modules. It is not just about making a pretty picture; it is about learning how to see the world like an artist. ## About Fine Arts Gurukul We are Fine Arts Gurukul, and we don't just teach you how to draw—we help you build a relationship with art. Whether you are a beginner or looking to master professional painting techniques, we provide the space and the discipline you need to do the work. Come ready to unlearn your hesitations and trust the practice.
