See how the discipline I build remains sharp long after the sessions end. ## Photos and videos - [Video: This is Hugo, an 8 year old German Shepherd, during a review session after two full years. He stepped onto the ground and locked into focus instantly. That is the proof that real training sticks. It is not about commands that fade; it is about the structure you build with your dog. If you maintain that leadership, the bond stays sharp for a lifetime. ### Why Training Does Not Fade Most people think training is a course with a start and end date. It is not. Real dog training is like learning a language. If you stop speaking it, you forget the words. My approach focuses on building a foundation that becomes second nature for both you and your dog. When I work with a dog, I am not teaching them tricks to perform for a treat. I am developing their instinct, drive, and respect for the handler. ### The Role of the Owner I always say that training works best when the owner commits. Hugo is a perfect example because his owner never stopped being a leader. Even after the initial residential program was finished, they maintained the structure at home. That is why he can return to the field after years and perform as if he never left. This is the difference between a dog that obeys because they are afraid and a dog that obeys because they respect you. ### My Commitment I do not offer quick fixes. I offer a process. Whether you have a high-drive breed or a rescue with behavioral issues, the goal is the same: a stable, reliable dog. We start with the basics of grip and focus, but we end with a partnership that thrives outside of my training field. If you are ready to put in the work and maintain the structure your dog needs, I am here to build that with you. ## About Vicky Franklin I am Vicky. I have been training dogs for over 15 years, and I do not do it to make money. I do it because dogs are apex predators who deserve respect, not humanization. I work with every breed to ensure they become balanced family members.
