If you notice your plants are leafy but not flowering, it is almost always an issue with soil composition or incorrect pruning timing. We manage these details through our maintenance plans, ensuring your garden transitions from just staying alive to actually putting on a show. ### Why Flowering Gardens Need Specialized Care Many people think a flowering plant will bloom on its own if left outside, but urban environments like Mumbai bring unique challenges. City dust, limited root space in pots, and variable humidity can stress even hardy plants. We approach blooming as an engineering challenge, not just a gardening one. ### Our Approach to Blooms * **Soil Management:** Flowering requires high energy. We regularly till the topsoil (Gudai) to prevent hardening and apply organic fertilizers like Vermicompost and NPK granules to replenish the nutrients that plants consume during their flowering phase. * **Precise Pruning:** You cannot prune a flowering shrub the same way you prune a hedge. We perform surgical pruning on plants like Melastoma, removing dead growth to encourage new, flower-bearing shoots. * **Health Audits:** We don't just water your plants. Our team checks for the early signs of pests like aphids or mites that target tender new buds. Using organic neem oil treatments, we stop these issues before they ruin your floral display. * **Environment Adaptation:** Whether it is a rooftop garden with high wind exposure or a balcony with low light, we adjust our feeding and grooming schedule to match the specific microclimate of your space. We operate across the Mumbai Metropolitan Area, Pune, Alibag, and Goa. If you want a garden that actually flowers rather than just existing, reach out. We are happy to walk through your space and tell you exactly what your current setup needs to start blooming. ## About Ferntastica Gardens We are Ferntastica Gardens, a family-run team that has been greening Mumbai for 45 years.
